Hi, I'm getting the error message "download failure" when I try downloading the latest BIOS update, F.49 Rev.A, from the HP driver support page for my Spectre x360 15t-df000. I'm hoping a BIOS update might help with overheating and improve my laptop's performance, but the BIOS update either won't download or install correctly. HP's Install wizard says, "Download failure," and shows a tiny error box, which I can't enlarge, but I included some screenshots and the error details below. I don't understand the error message from the tiny error box except that it can't find specific System files, but I hope someone knows what it means and can help resolve this issue. When I tried manually downloading and opening the BIOS file, the installation started, but it didn't go through the complete installation process. I never received any error message, so I'm unsure why the installation couldn't be completed. Does anyone have a direct link to the HP BIOS update, or does anyone know how to fix the download and install failure?
I appreciate any help. Thanks!Selected Download now and then received the error message in the pics
Error box- see bottom of my message to see the entire details of the error message from the error box.
Details of error from the small error box: I hope it's helpful.
See the end of this message for details on invoking
just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.
For example:
<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>
When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

Hi Kuori, thank you for the help, and I'm sorry for the delayed response. So it initially didn't work when I manually downloaded the HP BIOS file and ran it as an administrator, even when I tried disabling Norton Antivirus and turning off Windows Security. The installation process of the BIOS file would end abruptly before completing installation. However, once I deleted Norton Antivirus and turned off Windows Security, the BIOS file installation completed successfully, and my computer restarted and updated the BIOS, so it turned out that my Antivirus software interfered with the BIOS update. Thanks again for your help.
