HP Envy x360 Convertible 15-dr1021na
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Please can someone help me. I have just bought brand new laptop HP Envy x360 Convertible 15-dr1021na (this model is not showing on the virtual agent so struggling to get help)

The Display is so Dark that I am struggling to work on the laptop, but brightness is at 100%.

What I have done so far to try resolve is
• Access the Display settings and increased the brightness to 100%
• Checked and applied all possible updates and re started laptop
• Checked Battery Saving options it is at 100%

Please can someone help me by suggesting other things I can do to resolve this. Thank you

OK, then unless there is some way to bring up an on-screen dialog that allows you to set the screen in hardware, then I see no way to change the overall brightness level other than what you've already done.

You might have Dark Mode enabled and if this is the case, everything will be really dark.

To check that, do the following:

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Open Personalization
  3. Go to Colors
  4. Look at the bottom of the screen under Choose your Mode and select Light

That should brighten up everything.

Hi

Many Thanks for the help, unfortunately Light was already selected so this has not fixed the problem
