Hi @whatdouyouwant,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
To have an on-screen Caps Lock indicator on an HP laptop, you can try the following methods.
- Check for built-in software: Some HP laptops come with built-in software that provides on-screen indicators for the Caps Lock, Num Lock, and Scroll Lock keys. Look for any pre-installed utility or software on your laptop that may offer this feature. Check the system tray (bottom-right corner of the screen) or the Start menu for any relevant programs or settings.
- Use Windows settings: If you are using Windows 10, you can enable a feature called "Show the Caps Lock status on the screen" in the Ease of Access settings. Here's how to do it.
- Open the Start menu and click on the gear icon to open the Settings app.
- In the Settings window, select "Ease of Access."
- In the left sidebar, click on "Keyboard."
- On the right side, scroll down and toggle on the switch for "Show the Caps Lock status on the screen."
By following one of these methods, you should be able to have an on-screen Caps Lock indicator on your HP laptop.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
