How can I prevent Onedrive from syncing my pictures and documents

Onedrive is taking over!

Trying to download pictures onto my new laptop but they keep syncing to Onedrive.  I don't want this.  I just want them on my laptop!  How can I stop this happening. Grateful for help.

Change the Download destination folder to someplace other then OneDrive.

The exact method you use to do that depends on the software / web browser you are using to download the data (documents / images) to the computer.

Most browsers, for example, will allow you to change the Download destination in the browser Settings.
