Please help. I have many dvd discs. To watch them on my hp spectre laptop, I bought an external DVD drive. After insert the disc into the external drive on hp laptop, it makes noise instead of playing as I expected. I wonder why? How can i play my discs on my hp laptop? Thanks

Hi:
Windows 10 does not come with built in DVD playing software and only notebooks with internal DVD drives come with the software from HP.
So, what most folks do is to download the free VLC DVD playing software from the Microsoft Store for playing DVD's on external DVD drives.
