I need the function keys to be standard like they used to be to work with my software from my job

I'm guessing from your comments, that you have to press Fn to get the Function keys to work like "standard keys" right?

Unfortunately, there is on way to do this across the set of keys.

There is a utility known as sharpkeys that will allow you to assign one key to another -- but you would have to experiment with it to see if it can do this for you.

Good Luck
