CID warning: Customer Induced Damage action will invalidate your warranty claim if you remove the cover.
For both in-warranty and out of warranty.
You should not need to remove the cover. Use a vaccum cleaner like a dyson V10 Animal and use the brush tool and set it to max and press it to the air inlet grilles. Make sure the laptop is off first. If the laptop has been in a humid environment, dust can glue up in the fan blades. Use a cocktail stick or some plastic tube that will go through the holes in the grilles and gently push off all the dust.
Placing a standard cooling fan to the left of the laptop will reduce particulate intrusion. The air goes in where the dust is on the bottom grilles and goes via the fan blades over the bits that need cooling and out the rear and right grilles. Make sure the standard cooling fan is not pointing at the back or right; only the left.
Using a high suction vacuum every week if your laptop is on 24/7 prevents damage to the fans.
Using a standard fan helps reduce dust (dead skin etc) collect at the grilles and can also add to cooling.
Do not use anything wet, damp or an aerosol can of air.
