I don't klnow how to transfer information to a flash drive from HP laptop 14-dq1972XG

You can copy or cut then paste to flash drive as any normal procedure to copy/cut files from one drive to other drive. Please use the following Guide

You can also save anything of flash drive when save. Depending on each application, normally you can "Save as"the look at your Flash drive the save to it.
