Hello,
Even though all notifications are muted, I still get these "Hp Featured Offers" that lead to this website. link[edited]
I spent $1000 on my laptop. I don't want to get constant advertisements from an unknown source. Since it's not a standard notification I can't block it using the notification center and I don't know what to uninstall.
Solved! Go to Solution.

Hi @astromika,
Thank you for your response.
Kindly follow the steps below:
To turn off "HP Featured Offers" in HP Support Assistant, open the app, go to its Settings (gear icon), then disable pop-ups and specific notifications like "Support messages," "Tips and tricks," and promotional messages under the Notifications/Messages tabs; you might need to check different sections for "Update Notifications" or "Offers" to stop them from appearing, and restarting your PC helps.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have an amazing day!

Hi @Jerry_57,
Thanks for getting back to me.
I did some research and I found the text of the pop-ups in the "messages" tab of the HP support assistant, so I think that's where it's coming from.
How do I turn off the ads while keeping notifications for software updates?
Thanks,
Zofia

Hi Jerry,
Unfortunately, what you mentioned didn't work. I did leave "display pop-ups for important messages that require immediate attention" checked, because I assumed that didn't mean advertisements. I assumed that meant, security and drive updates. Now I will uncheck all of these options. Is there any way I can provide feedback to your product management team about this awful user experience? I know as a support team, you have limited ability to fix these problems, and I'm sure you are also frustrated. I cannot reliably use this machine in any professional capacity if I cannot reliably mute advertisements on it. My windows notifications are muted but the HP Featured Offers overrides this.

Hi @astromika,
Thank you for your response.
I hear your frustration — those unexpected pop‑ups feel like loud knocks breaking the quiet of your workspace. Thank you for sharing such detailed feedback; I’ll make sure it reaches our product team, so your voice is part of the solution.
You can select all, and these notifications will stop.
Regards

They are not just loud knocks - they are barge-ins taking up 1/6 of my screen and providing no way to dismiss other than to click "Shop now".
The only option I found to uncheck in the HP Support Assistant settings that fits the description is the "Display pop-ups for important warranty status messages and relevant offers" (highlighted in the attached image). As someone else already indicated, that's a very poor experience to tie warranty messages to advertising.
Jerry_57, thanks for your assistance and for passing along the feedback to the powers that be.
