Well I wish I'd found this help earlier. I've been struggling with this problem for just over a year now. But in the interim, my keyboard failed completely about 11 months into my warranty. After a 2 hour chat session with tech support with all kinds of troubleshooting, they finally replaced my keyboard. Unfortunately, the replacement only worked for a month and now has completely failed also. When you do the math, that puts me out of warranty!
Does anyone know if there is an extension period for warranty work/replacement? It seems to me that if I have a failure during the warranty period and they don't get it fixed in within the warranty period, I should be covered. But since the HP website sees my machine as out of warranty, I seem to be completely cut off from the Chat Support option.
Thanks for any insights anyone can give.
Howard
