Hi there, i was wondering if is it still possible to download the original HP OEM iso for my HP Pavilion Notebook PC dv6 (2009), it doesn't have any OS installed, and i would like to get back windows 7 on it. How do i download its original ISO file and install in it? (I didn't add yet to my profile, since i don't know how do i obtain its serial number)
Thanks in advance!

Hi @Sierra40,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out!
Since your HP Pavilion dv6 is a 2009 notebook, HP no longer provides OEM Windows 7 recovery ISOs or recovery media for older Pavilion dv6 models.
I do not recommend searching unofficial archives or third‑party sites; only official HP or Microsoft channels are supported.
The best path forward is to install Windows using a retail Windows 7 ISO (if you still have a valid license key on the COA sticker) or consider upgrading to a supported operating system such as Windows 10.
I hope this helps
Take care and have an amazing day ahead! 🚀
