How do I do italics on my chrome book

Hi @Kmhjth,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd be happy to help you!

To type in italics on your HP Chromebook, you typically use formatting options in different applications or websites. Here's how you can do it:

1. Google Docs or Similar Text Editors:

  • Select the text you want to italicize.
  • Press Ctrl + I on your keyboard to apply italics. Alternatively, you can click the italic button (which usually looks like an italicized "I") in the toolbar.

2. Email or Web-Based Text Editors:

  • Most email clients and web-based text editors (like Gmail or WordPress) have an italic button in the formatting toolbar.
  • Select the text and then click the italic button or use the Ctrl + I keyboard shortcut.

3. Markdown (for some apps and websites):

  • Surround your text with single asterisks * or underscores _.
  • For example, typing *italic text* or _italic text_ will display as italic text.

If you're in a text field that doesn't have formatting options, you'll need to use a tool that supports rich text formatting.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance
