I have tried all of the You Tube examples and even gone into the BIOS but that keyboard function line does not exist.

Suggestions?  Thanks!

@BKKnTHAI, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

Here are a few suggestions you can try:

Keyboard Shortcut
1. Try pressing Fn + Esc — this is the default Fn Lock shortcut on some HP systems. If your keyboard supports it, it’ll toggle the need to hold Fn for F1–F12.
Windows Mobility Center
1. Open Windows Mobility Center by pressing Windows Key + X and selecting it from the menu. Look for an option related to function keys and see if you can change the behavior there.

Try using HP Hotkey Support Software

  1. Go to the HP Support site
  2. Search for your model: 27-cr0000i or HP All-in-One Desktop PC 27-cr0000
  3. Check under "Software and Drivers" > "Software - Solutions" or "Keyboard and Mouse"
  4. Look for something like HP Hotkey Support or System Event Utility
  5. Download and install it
  6. Restart your PC and check if the Fn key behavior can be configured in Windows Settings or via an installed utility

If There’s No Hotkey Utility or BIOS Option:

  • This typically means your keyboard’s Fn key behavior is hardcoded (common on AIOs and non-laptop HP machines), and cannot be changed via software or firmware settings.

Use External Keyboard

  • An external keyboard (USB or Bluetooth) often doesn’t rely on the HP Fn behavior.
  • You can choose one with a standard layout where F1–F12 work normally, or even with its own toggle for Fn Lock.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
