If your computer includes the Fingerprint reader sensor in the Device Manager

 

Reminder

No Biometrics > Fingerprint section in Device Manager = No working fingerprint sensor in the machine.

 

and

 

You are running a supported version of Windows on your system,

 

Then

 

Check for the fingerprint reader driver in your system's Software & Drivers category

 

Open

 Product Home

 Enter the device type and model name of your HP product

Next,

Open Category Software & Drivers

Open Sub-category Driver-Keyboard, Mouse and Input Devices

Check for the Fingerprint Driver in the list
