I do want to know how to hard reset my HP Envy x360 becaause my laptop keeps telling me that the "Selected Boot device failed", I did try holding the power button for 15 sec but it didn't work.

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Instead of a hard reset, I'd suggest a BIOS defaults.  This issue would occur when a boot device is been selected from which computer has nothing to read. By default, it should be the hard drive.

Follow these steps for restoring defaults in BIOS: https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c04831065

Let me know if this helps.

If the information I've provided was helpful, give us some reinforcement by clicking the Accepted Solution button, that'll help us and others see that we've got the answers!

Thanks!
