Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Dear HP User,

I am Haja Mohideen from India, I am using HP ElipeBook  8440p.  This model Keyboard really difficult to access few keys like underscore( _ ) and slash ( / ) and  how can i type in above mentioned key as well as is there any full details keyboard access guide book or document then please send here.

 

It will be help me more. Thanks in Advance

Hi

 

There are lots of options, and I don't know what will suit...

 

First look for Windows Accessories Charmap, then you can copy from there.

 

Secondly there are lots of internet sites to give specific key combinations, like the ALT key and a 4 number code, http://symbolcodes.tlt.psu.edu/accents/codealt.html

 

¯ is obtained from, on this keyboard ALT + 01754

© is ALT + 0169

 _ is ALT + 0095 _

 

You can of course put then into a reference document and copy and paste when you wish.

 

Generate in a spreadsheet,

CELL A1   =char(row()+32)     then drag it down to row 223  this will give the complete listing.

 

Drag across to CELL Z223 and it will fill up with 26 sets of the listing, then select your column and change the font to

 

A is Arial then column B Braggadacio, column C Courier etc etc then copy and paste whenever needed.
