My HP Pavilion X360 couldn't boot into windows, therefore I used recovery drive to re install windows. Now, I am not able to activate Microsoft office again. As it was preinstalled Home Edition, I do not have a key. Online support via Virtual agent is no help ! I have tried several ways on support.hp but each end at virtual agent saying "Manufacturer warranty has expired".

Thank you for your reply.
Yes, Home and student version was not installed but it was office 365 and thus the issue of activation.
Trying to resolve the issue, I downloaded and installed the office 2016. Just after the installation, the activation window popped up with a key already entered. I just pressed the activate button and the Home and Student 2016 was activated !

As far as I am aware, HP does not pre-install the Home and Student version of Microsoft Office. There was once upon a time and many years ago a free, bare bones version that would come preinstalled, but that time has passed. Once uninstalled or a system recovery was done, it would be gone and not reinstalled with a recovery
