How to activate windows

HP Recommended
HP ENVY 17t-k000
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi, I changed my hard drive last week to a SSD and now my windows can't be updated.

It's asking me to active the operating system which was fine when I first bought the computer.

I would like to know what to do. Please help me.

It should activate itself using a key in BIOS. How did you install Windows 10 on your machine ?

Regards.

My laptop came with the windows installed. So I wanted to changed the hard drive to a SSD one and I simply cloned it.

I thought it would come automatically activated with microsoft but now it's asking me to activate it. I called hp they can't help.
