Hi @pedroal2003 ,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

Activating XMP (eXtreme Memory Profile) on a gaming laptop like the OMEN 16 requires accessing the BIOS/UEFI firmware settings. XMP is a feature that allows your system to automatically configure your memory modules to run at their rated speeds, which can enhance overall system performance.

Here's a Steps on how to activate XMP on a laptop:

Restart your Laptop:

  • Save any open files and restart your laptop.

Access BIOS/UEFI:

  • During the boot process, repeatedly press the key to access the BIOS/UEFI. Common keys are Del, F2, F10, F12, or Esc. The correct key is often displayed on the boot screen or in your laptop's manual.

Navigate to Advanced Settings:

  • Once you're in the BIOS/UEFI, navigate to the advanced settings or overclocking section. The exact location and name of this section can vary depending on the laptop's manufacturer.

Locate XMP Option:

  • Look for an option related to memory settings or overclocking. The XMP option may be labeled as "Memory Profile," "Extreme Memory Profile," or something similar.

Enable XMP:

  • Once you find the XMP option, select it and enable XMP. You may see different profiles (e.g., XMP Profile 1, XMP Profile 2). Choose the profile that corresponds to the desired memory speed.

Save and Exit:

  • After enabling XMP, save the changes and exit the BIOS/UEFI. This is usually done by navigating to the exit menu and selecting "Save & Exit" or a similar option.

Reboot:

  • Let your laptop reboot. The changes you made should now be applied.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.-
