Please can some one help and advise me, I have recently upgraded my hard drive in my Laptop. I am trying to create a recovery partition on this drive just in case i have to factory reset my laptop.

Unfortunately, there is no way to do make a recovery partition to factory reset the notebook that I know of.
However, your notebook should be supported by the HP cloud recovery tool.
You can make a bootable USB recovery drive that will reinstall Windows, the drivers and the software that originally came with your notebook.
Here is an info link for how to use the utility. You will need a 32 GB USB flash drive to create the recovery media with.

You can download the software from the Microsoft Store.

You're very welcome.
Unfortunately, I wouldn't be able to help you with that because I don't know of any way how it can be done.
You can offer the buyer the recovery drive or find another person to buy the notebook.
