HP EliteBook 840 14 inch G10 Notebook PC IDS Base Model

Hi all,

Need help with finding the Thunderbolt Generation on this HP EliteBook 840 G10. Usually on older laptops such a HP EliteBook 840 G8, we have the Thunderbolt Control Panel. So I can check the Thunderbolt Generation there. Below is screenshot for the 840 G8:

On the new HP 840 G10, there is no Thunderbolt Control Panel. Thus I have no idea on how to get the Thunderbolt Generation. The laptop only have USB4 (does not show Thunderbolt Generation).

On the HP website HP EliteBook 840 G10, it shows that the laptop does have Thunderbolt 4:

2 Thunderbolt™ 4 with USB Type-C® 40Gbps signaling rate (USB Power Delivery, DisplayPort™ 1.4)

Thus I would like to know how to find the Thunderbolt Generation of this HP EliteBook 840 G10 from the Laptop itself.

Quick Notes: I read some forums that it is not on HP that have this Thunderbolt Generation issue. Seems like other brand also have this issue. They say the Culprit is the 12th Gen Intel and above processor that causes it.

I appreciate any tips and help.

Cheers,

5sal
