Hi @Jevgeni09,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
Certainly, I'll do my best to help you. It seems like you're facing an issue with the lock screen persisting on your HP laptop running Windows 11. Here are some steps you can try to resolve the problem.
- Update Windows 11: Ensure that your Windows 11 operating system is up to date. Microsoft regularly releases updates that may include bug fixes and improvements.
- Update Graphics Drivers: Outdated or incompatible graphics drivers can sometimes cause display issues. Visit the official HP support website or use Windows Update to check for and install the latest graphics drivers for your laptop.
- Check Power Settings: Incorrect power settings might cause display-related issues. Go to "Settings" > "System" > "Power & sleep" and ensure that your power settings are configured correctly.
- Disable Fast Startup: Fast Startup is a feature that may sometimes cause issues with the startup process. To disable it, go to "Control Panel" > "Power Options" > "Choose what the power buttons do" > "Change settings that are currently unavailable" and uncheck "Turn on fast startup."
- Check Screen Saver Settings: Sometimes, screen saver settings can interfere with the lock screen behavior. Go to "Settings" > "Personalization" > "Lock screen" and make sure the screen saver settings are configured as desired.
- Check Group Policy: Press Win + R to open the Run dialog, type gpedit.msc, and press Enter. Navigate to "Computer Configuration" > "Administrative Templates" > "Control Panel" > "Personalization." Look for the setting "Do not display the lock screen" and make sure it's set to "Disabled."
- Reset Lock Screen Settings: In "Settings," go to "Personalization" > "Lock screen." Scroll down and click on "Screen timeout settings" and set a time. Then, go back to the main Lock screen settings and check if the issue persists.
- Create a New User Profile: Create a new user profile to see if the issue is specific to your user account. If the new account doesn't have the same problem, you may consider transferring your files to the new account.
- Perform System Restore: If the issue started recently, you can use System Restore to revert your system to a point before the problem occurred.
Remember to back up your important data before making any significant changes to your system.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
