Hi @Pavilion15bc406,

Welcome to the HP Support Community

I understand you are facing an issue with your HP Pavilion - 15-Bc406tx. Not to worry I will help you to get a resolution to resolve the issue.

First, you have to disable legacy mode and then check if that works.

Steps to disable Legacy Mode on BIOS:

Turn off the computer.

Press the power button to turn on the computer, and then immediately press the Esc key repeatedly until the Startup Menu opens.

Startup Menu

Press F10 to open BIOS Setup.

Use the right arrow key to select System Configuration, use the down arrow key to select Boot Options, and then press Enter.

Boot Options selection in the System Configuration window

Check for Legacy Support in the list.

Boot options list including Legacy Support

use the down arrow to select Legacy Support, press Enter, select Disabled, press Enter.

Press F10 to accept the changes, use the left arrow key to select Yes, and then press Enter to Exit Saving Changes to restart the computer.

Steps to open Disk Management on Windows 10:

  • Go to Control Panel > System and Security > Administrative Tools > Computer Management > Disk Management (under Storage).
  • Alternatively, open Command Prompt and execute diskmgmt.msc.
