I bought a new HP laptop a few months ago. I've been reading that there is a security vulnerability in HP Support Assistant and that at the start of April, HP produced a new version with a security fix. The release notes for the fix say.
- Open HP Support Assistant from the Start menu.
- Click About in the top right.
- The latest version of the Framework containing the fix is 12.15.14.3. If this version or later of the Framework is not installed, select About and click Check for latest version to install it.
However, my version of HP Support Assistant looks nothing like the images on the HP website. There is no "About" tab visible anywhere on the interface. The tabs for My Devices, Profile, Support etc. are not in a horizontal line across the top. Instead they are listed vertically down the left hand side, and they are shown as icons rather than as words. None of the icons is for "About". So, my problem is that I need to be able to check my version and then possibly install a new version, but I can't see how to do it. I'd be grateful if anyone who has the same version as me can advise me how to do it. Thank you.

Hi:
I just opened my version of the HPSA, and it is like the one described on how to find the version.
I recommend that you just download and install the latest version from the link below.
Click on the orange download button on the upper right side of the webpage.
