I am new to this site so I'm trying to find my way around it. 

This Driver works:https:ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp52001-52500/sp52186.exe

but there's a yellow cation sigh with it.

It's probably because it is a W7 driver, but I don't understand why it didn't install correctly.

 

The problem is that HP retired support for your notebook since it is more than 10 years old, and it was never supported for W10, so there are no W10 drivers for the model SD card reader your notebook has.

 

Try the W8 driver from this reputable 3rd party driver website for your specific model notebook.

 

Hopefully, that one will work without a hitch.
