How to fix laptop keyboard where letters type on different lines...don't appear at all.

keyboard types letters all over doc.  skips to different lines...letters, sometimes, don't appear at all ...letters will print in already typed words.

Welcome to the HP Support Community. Thanks for bringing this to our notice.

I see that you are facing keyboard-related issues on your system. Do not worry, we are here to fix it.

• May I know from when are you facing this issue?
• Did you make any hardware or software-related changes to it?
• What happens when you use an external keyboard?

Try updating the computer, this will install the latest updates -

Step 1 Windows Updates -

1) In the search box, type, and open Windows Updates.

2) Check for updates.

3) If the updates are available, click on install and restart the computer.

Step 2 Install updates using HP Support Assistant

1. In the search box, type, and open HP Support Assistant. 
2. Check for updates. 
3. If the updates are available, click on install and restart the computer.  

Note: If you do not have HP Support Assistant installed, Click here to download the same.

Please uninstall the keyboard drivers from the device manager and update the BIOS.
