Example: Pavilion dv6 Notebook PC
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello. I have a HP dv6-3120us Entertainment Notebook that has been upgraded to Windows 10. When it updated, however, I lost my HP MediaSmart application that came with the PC when I got it years ago. How and or where can I find the most recent version of MediaSmart to download? I would love to have it on my PC again. It was, as far as I am concerned, the best DVD/Media player system I have ever used. With Windows Media Player no longer playing DVDs, I am a bit stuck. I have another program that I use occasionally, but it always takes forever to load the discs I put in. I have tried several different downloads of HP MediaSmart, but so far all I have received from them is the part that plays home videos, not the DVD and Music parts.

Sincerely,

VintageVideofan

Hi:

The only suggestion I can offer, would be to see if the W7 software installs on W10.

This package provides the HP MediaSmart DVD Software for supported notebook models that are running a supported operating system. The HP MediaSmart DVD Software enables users to watch movies in DVD or Blu-ray disc (BD) formats.

The software is the same for the dv6-3000 and 4000 model series and what I posted was the latest revision offered.
