Ok so I am trying to run a game, while it is not a very demanding game it does need a bit of VRAM. I noticed that it started to lag out or crash. When I checked the settings of the game it said that my VRAM was basically 128mb and in some instances it ran at 512mb. I have an Intel UHD Graphics 620. I know it is not a state of the art GPU, but from what I understand it uses my system memory which means I could increase it or it should be able to use at least half or less of my system memory(I have 16 gigs of ram). Task manager says the GPU has 7.9gb of shared memory and 7.9gb GPU Memory. It should be able to use more memory from this shared space, is it not? My question would be how can I increase the amount I use in an app or instance. While running the game Task Manager reports that I am using .5gb out of 7.9gb, but it says my utilization is at max 100%, but at other moments it reports that .4 is only using 5% of the GPU memory. How can increase the limit I am seeing while running the application, so that it is not limited.

Welcome to the HP Support Community!
I reviewed your post and I understand that you want to know how to increase the video memory on the computer.
Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.
I would like to inform you that the video memory is system managed and there is no option to increase or decrease the video memory.
I hope that answers your question and you have a great day!
If you wish to show appreciation for my efforts, mark my post as Accept as Solution. Your feedback counts!
Cheers!
