Dear all,
The new version of HP Image Assistant 5.2.1 - SP151464 - was installed by default in folder "C:\SWSetup\SP151464", instead of the folder "C:\Program Files\HP\HpHwDiag\HPDIAGS\HpiaTest".
This isn't ok: when launching "HP PC Hardware Diagnostic Windows (Version 2.5.0.0)“ and executing the function „start HP Image Assistant", the old version HP Image Assistant 5.2.0 starts and a warning pop-up occurs with the hint that HP Image Assistant 5.2.1 is available and one can go to the download page.
Thus, I opened the Windows Explorer in administrator mode, started - also in admin mode - the installation of SP151464 once again, and selected "C:\Program Files\HP\HpHwDiag\HPDIAGS\HpiaTest" as target installation folder. That didn't help.
Additionally, I copy all files from "C:\SWSetup\SP151464" to "C:\Program Files\HP\HpHwDiag\HPDIAGS\HpiaTest" (also in admin mode). This didn't help either.
The existing files in "C:\Program Files\HP\HpHwDiag\HPDIAGS\HpiaTest" have not been overwritten with those in the mentioned SWSetup folder.
How can I replace the old version 5.2.0 through the new 5.2.1, please?
Thanks in advance.
Kind regards
Jo
