15-an050nr
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

In 2015, I bought an HP 15-an050nr laptop for my in-laws. That laptop has worked great, but it is a little slow, so I just bought them an HP Pavilion laptop model 14-dq-1043cl. I got the new computer set up for them, and it works great.  I moved their pics and docs to the new laptop and have erased these on the older laptop.

At this point I would like to sell the older laptop. Are there instructions you could provide on how to prepare a computer for resale? I am concerned about the following items:

  • How to remove registration/disassociate the computer, Microsoft Windows 10, and any other software that is currently associated with my in-laws.
  • If I perform a factory reset, will that remove any of the Star Wars themed folders, programs, setting? I’d like to leave those intact.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,

Bill
