@jage2606 Here's all you need to know and do:

Open HPSA > Settings >

Under Choose how you would like to receive updates from HP >

Select Check for updates, but let me choose which updates to download and install

Under Choose how you would like to be notified >

UN-CHECK all the notification options

  • "Check for updates" causes the HPSA to indicate when updates are available; the program will not attempt to download the updates without your approval
  • UNCHECK "all notification options" causes the HPSA to fall off the Taskbar

Windows key > search the Application list, find, and click HP Help and Support >

Right-Click on HP Support Assistant > Pin to Start

  • Pin to Start causes the HPSA program to become available on your Start screen
  • To access HPSA: Windows key > Click on HPSA

Poof!  No more triangles, constant messages, or unexpected Updates.

  • Never, ever let the HPSA update your BIOS
  • BIOS updates should only be done when necessary
  • BIOS updates should be done manually
