HP OMEN NOTEBOOK PC
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have an HP Omen 15 and I recently set my cpu cores at 80% to stop them from overheating. Although they are cooler now (70ish Celcius), my fans are also running slower. Is there any way that I can run my fans at max, at least while gaming, to keep the cores even cooler? My product number is W2N32UA#ABA

Hi! @Garicula, Thank you for visiting the HP Forums! A great place where you can find solutions for your issues with help from the community!

I understand you would like to know how to set the fan speed on your PC.

Don't worry I'll try to help you out.

Did you make any hardware or software changes on your PC?

As you would like to know how to set the fan speed on your PC.

Press fn + f key on the keyboard.

This turns the computer fans on maximum speed.

Pressing it again brings it back down to the state the system feels it needs. (The system will adjust the fans and ramp them up as the system gets warmer.)

Refer this article to know more information about using HP omen control software.

Generally, the Fan speeds are set a specific top and bottom end temp ranges and cannot be changed.

However, if the Fan speed has increased drastically, it could be due to BIOS corruption as well which can be fixed by updating it or reflashing it.

Also, I recommend you to try performing the BIOS update for the following hardware and check if that fixes the issue

You can update the BIOS using this link.
