Thank you - this solves the problem with the function keys, but does not bring the INS key back
This called collaboration keyboard is crap and lets me hang up calls accidentially when I try to use the INS, PRT SCR, etc, keys and forget that I am working with a "collaboration" button.
To press FN+E to geht an INS key does not help either, does not work on Remote Destop and needs to press 2 keys.
I would prefer to disable the collaboration keyboard and have the normal keys in the place where they belong - this should not be a problem for HP to solve in the BIOS Options. This can be done e.g. like the FN key lock to be on auto, disable or enable - you even could print multiple simbols on the INS, PRT Scr etc. keys, so the very few people who probably like the hang up and anser buttons can bring them back! Thanks

Hi,
I have the same problem with this new notebook,
that was provided by my company, if I can join the call to HP for a bios upgrade that includes the reset of the INS key as an alternative of the "phone" keys in the right corner of the keyboard;
Thank's in advance

Thank you for this useful information that doesn't require modification to the system settings. CTRL ALT with the FN and E key is the work around and needed for the CTRL ALT DEL function on a VMware VM console. This is greatly appreciated.

It is also a problem if you want to do shift+ins which is the standard paste key combo in Unix/Linux.
Also making the "F" keys a function is just plain brain dead.
In my Oracle EBS environment F11 open query by example...but on this bloody laptop it puts me in airplane mode !!!
What was the thinking behind these changes ?
