My laptop is about 4 years old. It's an HP ENVY dv6, running on MS Windows 8 (64-bit). I used it for college, and now just browse the Internet. It's never caused me any issues.
Okay, so I dated someone who worked with computers and knew the ins and outs of hacking and all that stuff. I don't. I think I left my laptop alone with him one time, only for about 5 minutes. He was the kind of person who spied on me, so I've been extremely suspicious if he put any spy ware on my laptop so that he can see my screen or hack my web cam. I have my webcam covered with a sticker. This would have happened two years ago. I wouldn't put it past him to continue doing something like this even though we broke up a year ago.
I found this information on my laptop a few months ago-
I do not have this type of TV, but he did. I know this for sure, 100000%. He used his TV as a monitor for his computer. I blacked out the series of numbers and letters in the "MAC address" because I'm not sure if that is personal info or tracking info. Like I said, I don't know anything about this. This info disappeared and I can't find it now.
Does anyone have thoughts on this? I'm really paranoid and scared that he's spying on my laptop somehow. What else can I look for? Anything helps. Thanks in advance.

Hello;
Allow me to welcome you to the HP forums!
I read your post about concerns over someone spying on your PC and wanted to help.
I have a Sony Bravia TV and all that information idicates is that at one point, it was on the same network as your laptop. Windows keeps this information around even if the networked device is not connected or reachable anymore.
As to spyware removale, one of the best apps to download and run is MalwareBytes Anti-Malware: https://www.malwarebytes.org/antimalware/
I use this all the time, so I know it is safe.
Good Luck
