Hi, I have a hp pavilion x360 convertible 14-dy1xxx. It is currently running Windows 11 version 24H2. I would like to turn on the Bios function/setting "Turn on after AC power loss" in order to automatically power on my computer when it detects a change in charging status. Basically, I want it to auto power on when the computer starts charging. This would be extremely helpful to me in order to remote into my computer from my Ipad. I was able to get the remote streaming working, but I cannot for the life of me figure out where the setting in Bios is to toggle the power loss or auto start setting. I have found the scheduled startups, but I want to be able to control when my computer turns on and off in real time, not at certain times. Does this function even exist in my Bios settings on this computer?

Hi @Art3mis23
There is no feature, the only feature that exists and in HP business models, is to turn on the laptop when connected to the AC.

Thank you for helping me! So just to be clear, there is no option within BIOS or anywhere else to automatically turn on the computer after power loss? And am I correct in saying that there is no way then to change my computer to automatically power on when it starts charging?

It doesn't exist, and on a laptop it's impossible. Power outages alone can damage any device, and for that very reason, data centers that hosting servers have high-capacity UPSs
