Please, I need to flash or update my Elitebook 1040 g2 but I don't understand how to do it in DOS environment. The BIOS software I got from Hp can only run on windows whereas, my laptop doesn't load to windows environment.
Note* whenever I tried to load windows 10 and it got to where to partition the hard drive I usually got the error message "ensure that the disk controller is enabled in the bios menu". I have done all I could but to no avail.
Also, I realized that BIOS stores the details of the old hard drive that was removed from the laptop and it doesn't change even after installing a new hard drive.
Please your help in needed.
Thanks
