The drive inside the keyboard isnt being detected, it was working completely fine a few days ago but suddenly , now when I boot up the laptop , the drive D in the keyboard isnt detected . I tried detaching the screen and re attaching it but only the keyboard seems to work , the usb ports sometimes work but most of the time dont . The caps lock key light also deosnt work , if this information is of any help anyway .

You have two very different issues here:

1) SATA drive in the keyboard base

2) Hardware not working

 

In terms of the first, if the drive gets corrupted in any way, Windows will drop the drive letter and after that, you won't "see" the drive even though it is still there.  What I suggest is that you download and install MiniTool Partition Wizard.  It will "see" all the drive devices attached to the PC.  You get it from here:  https://www.partitionwizard.com/download.html

 

In terms of the second, If you CAN, to check out hardware problems, you would need to be able run hardware diagnostics by pressing the Esc key repeatedly and then, when the HP Startup Menu appears, select Diagnostics (usually F2) and let it run.
