Hi.

I have downloaded the Hp Command Center in order to try to reduce the high temperature of my notebook.

However, I cannot see the "Thermal Profile" as I should. Moreover, all the data related to my notebook are not shown.

Why? Should I download another version maybe?

Here is what I see when I launch the Hp Command Center.

Hi:

The HP command center is most likely not supported for your notebook.

That app is for newer models made in the last few years that came with W10 installed from the factory.

I have tried it on some of my older PC's too and got the same results as you did, but it works fine on my HP notebook made in 2020.

The only suggestion I can offer, would be to try the old HP Coolsense app, which still may be too new for your notebook.

You need to install Net Framework 3.5 if you have not done so already before attempting to install HP coolsense,

To do that, go to the Windows control panel>programs>Turn Windows features on or off.

The window will open and the first item that shows up on the list should be Net framework 3.5.

Install Net framework 3.5, restart the PC and see if HP coolsense is supported.

Hi

Thanks for your reply.

Unfortunately the HP Cool Sense didn't seem to produce any improvement on my notebook, and I removed it time ago.

I also cleaned the bottom of the notebook to remove any dust, reinstalled Windows to the latest version, changed some settings on Windows Defender and Google Chrome to let them use less CPU. But the issue still persists.

Is there any setting that I could change on my notebook in order to try to reduce the high temperature issue?

Thanks again

You're very welcome.

The only suggestion I can offer would be to run on the balanced power plan if you are not doing so already.
