HP Notebook - 15-bs010ds

Happy new year!

Recently, I was gifted a Hp notebook for Christmas. It was barely used by the previous owner but to play things safe, I wiped everything from the laptop to play it safe. Or at least I wanted to. I kept the laptop plugged in because I didn't know how well the charge was. That and I always keep it plugged in when I either update or restart things. But with a busy house, someone ended up unplugging the laptop and the screen shut off. Once I plugged it back in, the update picked back up where it left off.

Now, a day later, it is still stuck in a loop. Stafting with a black screen, to the hp logo screen, then a small dot circle, and a welcome loading screen. But that's it. That's as far as it got.

I've tried hard resetting it, doing a battery reset, even running bios. Nothing worked. Is there anything I can do without leaving my home? Due to covid, its the last thing I want to do.

@KathrinL

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.

I appreciate your efforts to try and resolve the issue. I would suggest performing system factory reset will put the computer back to the original factory settings in this way all corrupted and outdated software will be removed.

The HP Cloud Recovery Tool allows you to download recovery software to a USB drive. You can use the downloaded recovery image file in order to install the Windows operating system.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
