HP Omen 15 5010tx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have this old hp omen 15 gaming notebook. I used HP Omen Control Software to change the keyboard colors. But now it's creating alot of problems for me. Sometimes it put my CPU fan to maximum speed when i change the keyboard color from default (Red) to some other color. I fixed that by reinstalling it. Now it disables the my touch screen when it is installed on my computer also the shortcuts such as; fn+1, fn+2 etc doesn't work at all (my keyboard and all the keys are ok). I have 6 programable keys on the left which i never used cuz this software just doesn't allow me. So how to fix this? If i install the latest omen command center, it doesn't recognize my laptop. Or should I update my bios to the latest version (f.48) from my current (f.44) version? Will this work? Please someone guide me properly.

[New bios version available for my laptop was released on December 2019. I never updated bios of any computer before so that's why i'm confused about it}

Hi @Asad_Ullah304

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you.

BIOS must be updated for better and optimum performance. Install updates using HP Support Assistant

  1. In the search box, type and open HP Support Assistant.
  2. Check for updates.
  3. If the updates are available, click on install and restart the computer.

Note: If you do not have HP Support Assistant installed, Click here to download the same.

I downloaded and installed the system event utility but still the problem is same. Yes it changes colors but within the software. Shortcuts doesn't work and when the HP Omen Control is installed, the touch screen doesn't work. If i uninstall Omen Control then the touch feature will start working again.
