Try updating to the latest Series 8 HP SimplePass:
sp76923 HP SimplePass V8.01.62A W7-W10 32/64bitS
This does work although Firefox might be stubborn; you may have to remove your current installation (of Firefox) and start fresh. Be sure you Export your Bookmarks before you remove Firefox!
If all else fails, Try / Consider:
- Update SimplePass >
- Reboot computer and log in >
- Export your FF bookmarks >
- Download a new copy of Firefox - do not yet install >
- Remove Firefox (uninstall from Programs and Features) >
- Restart the computer and log in >
- Install the new downloaded copy of Firefox >
- One more Restart and log in
