Victus by HP 16.1 inch Gaming Laptop PC 16-e0000 (2V8Z7AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

Hello all,

Tried to find some informations about what charger is supported for Victus 16, but can't find any relevant info.

At home I have the original 200w charger and it works perfect.

But I need to be able to charge the laptop when I am on the road and i don't have a 220/230v  outlet.

I tried to buy a car charger that has 90w. Will work with a G9, but not with my Victus. Even if the laptop is powered off.

Normally it should accespt the charge as it is the same "19v" as the original...

Seems to me that the software is refusing the smaller charger, because it starts charging for 1-2 seconds and then it disconnects it self.

What is your PC 16-e0000 (2V8Z7AV)  ? It has 200W normal charger therefore 90W is NOT enough. I used to use the following inverter during my trips and work on weekends (for my notebooks and a few other AV devices):

yes, the 200w charger that came with the laptop.

I know that 90w is not enough  to run it at proper performance.

But it is enough to charge the laptop when it is turned off. :))))

The laptop rejects the other chargers even when the laptop is turned off and this is not normal...

buying an inverter is not a great solution.
