Hi,

I am totally new to this hp forum( but am an old customer), and want to buy a X360 hp product( Spectre, Pavillion, Ellite or Envy), and I have a couple of questions:

1) what's the best way to install programs like Autocad Civil 3D and AutoCAD from DVD to laptop( I know i can use external DVD, but don't want to pay an extra for that)

2) Am I able to do say AutoCAD using X360 with pen? I know it won't be like the normal stand, but is it possible in general?( how to type a command for instance)

Really excited about these X360 laptops, but not sure if i can lay down and review my works I've done in office.

Thanks for your comments.

1. Install AutoCAD: You have to ask vendor to see can you have one of the following options

   (a) Download ISO image of the installation DVD, if yes you can mout ISO file and install from there,

   (b) Dowinload a self extract Setup package and you can run Setup like normal installation process

   (c) Can vendor supply USB installation package ?

Other that those, you need external DVD drive

2. There are many Spectre models/products around but if you are very serious with CAD software you need mobile workstation class machine such as zBook series.

Regards.
