Hello, I've been having a persistent problem lately relating to the HP Command Center Software. I have a Hp Envy model 14 and at times the System Control stops working and the temperture stops showing, I found there was a very similar case with the same laptop and problem with a solution, but I couldn't find the way to solve it even with an answer, So please a help out would be great thx.

Hi @GabrielHELLP,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It seems like you're experiencing an issue with HP Command Center on your HP Envy 14, where the System Control features (like temperature monitoring) stop functioning intermittently. This can happen due to software glitches, outdated drivers, or conflicts with other software.
Here are a few steps to troubleshoot and resolve the issue.
Update HP Command Center
- Go to the Microsoft Store or HP Support website to check if there's an updated version of HP Command Center. Outdated software can cause functionality issues.
- If an update is available, install it and restart your computer.
Update System Drivers
- Ensure that all your system drivers, especially for the chipset, thermal drivers, and BIOS, are up to date. You can update them from the HP Support Assistant or manually download them from the HP website.
- Open HP Support Assistant, navigate to Updates, and install any available driver updates.
- Alternatively, visit HP's official website and search for your HP Envy 14 model to download the latest drivers and BIOS updates.
Reinstall HP Command Center
- If updating doesn’t help, try uninstalling and reinstalling HP Command Center:
- Press Windows + X and choose Apps and Features.
- Locate HP Command Center in the list and click Uninstall.
- Restart your PC.
- Reinstall HP Command Center from the Microsoft Store or HP website.
Run HP System Diagnostics
- You can run a hardware diagnostic to ensure there are no underlying issues with the system:
- Turn off the laptop and press F2 while turning it back on.
- Run the System Diagnostics tool to check if there are any hardware problems affecting HP Command Center.
Check for Conflicting Software
- Sometimes, third-party software or other performance monitoring tools (e.g., MSI Afterburner, HWMonitor) can conflict with HP Command Center.
- Close or uninstall such software and see if the issue persists.
Perform a System Restore (If Needed)
- If the problem started after a recent update or installation, you might want to perform a system restore to a point where everything was functioning correctly.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
