HP Spectre x360 Convertible Laptop PC 14-ea0000 (1Q878AV)

In the app hp command center at first i had in the sistem control 5 manual modes and the inteligent sensor but at some point the quiet mode disapeared from the app interface (i belive prom an ubdate of the app that "locks" or in a more correct way "hiddes" the button )

I have tried everything:

Reinstall the app.

The bios version.

The SDK packages.

I have downloaded  the version of the app from the microsoft store (wich for wharever reason you can only find it if you have the direct link [ https://apps.microsoft.com/detail/9P92N00QV14J?hl=es-es&gl=ES&ocid=pdpshare ] to it, it doesen't show in the microsoft webstore bowser)

I have tried the tools of the bios for harware problems and the hp app tools too.

When i said that it only "hiddes" the button is because in the folder: C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\AD2F1837.HPThermalControl_1.11.60.0_x64__v10z8vjag6ke6.

the quiet icons are still there and if i run these commands in powershell it works.

(I have in my download folder the file needed, and some screen shots to show how it works) if  put them here the web says that this post is spam

Hi @kghvhj

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query.

I understand that you’re dealing with HP Command Center where the Quiet Mode option disappeared after an update, even though the assets and commands still exist in the app’s package folder. Since you’ve already tried reinstalling, BIOS updates, SDK packages, and HP tools, I would request you to please follow the steps:

Uninstall and Reinstall HP System Event Utility

  • This utility synchronizes BIOS features with HP Command Center.
  • Go to HP Support > Drivers & Software > Enter your laptop model > Software-Solutions section
  • Download the latest HP System Event Utility
  • Run the installer and follow on-screen instructions
  • Restart your PC after installation

Uninstall and Reinstall HP Command Center

  • Install the latest version from Microsoft Store to re-detect thermal profiles.
  • Open Microsoft Store >Search HP Command Center
  • Install the app from the store (use direct link if not visible)
  • Launch HP Command Center after installation
  • Check if Quiet Mode is visible under thermal profiles.

Take care and have an amazing day!

I'm an HP Employee.
