I’ve just got my laptop yesterday and from the moment I opened it, the fan produced very loud and unpleasant sounds (even when I only used the laptop for facebook and wikipedia). The noise kept going on and on until I turned off the device. It’s really stressing me out.
Please tell me how to remove the noise or at least how to reduce it.
Thank you!

Welcome to HP Forums.
I have a few recommendations:
-
Updating your Notebook computer BIOS.
-
Keeping notebook air vents clear and clean.
-
Increasing the efficiency of the notebook to reduce heat.
-
Using Windows Task Manager to identify corrupt processes.
-
Selecting power saves settings to shut off your computer when it is not in use.

Let me know how it goes.

Thank you for your reply but all those solutions above didn’t help. The fan is very loud and it’s 200 times louder when the PC’s heat increases. If you have another solution, please let me know. Thank you again!

Run the extensive test on the notebook to check for any hardware failures.
Refer this HP document for the steps to run the test:- Click here
If the test shows any error, then it should be a hardware issue.
I request you to talk to HP support.
They might have multiple options to help you with this.
1) Click on this link - www.hp.com/contacthp/
2) Click on "Continue as guest".
3) Enter the serial of your device.
4) Select the country from the drop-down.
5) Click on "Show Options".
Fill the web-form. A case number and phone number will now populate for you.
