Has anyone managed to resolve the common missing/unavailable memory issue this laptop as mine needs to do a update but wont due to all the memory already used up by the actual laptop software. I have gone round in circles deleted absolutely everything following hp advice and not resolved the issue as it's still totally full of nothing

Thankyou for the reply some of that looks familiar but will read thoroughly and try what I haven't although I think after following all links advice from hp it seems worse as it is saying there are no later version/updates installed but still saying it has so much used memory in temp files and old updates but none of the disk cleaners will totally remove them. They reduce a little but they clearly still there. It also wont let me compress anything it wont let me tick that box its greyed out. We purchased hard drive a while ago and that hasn't achieved anything
