Hi @rollees2022, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

This error typically occurs when the Windows Installer package is corrupted or missing necessary components. Here are steps to fix the issue:

Restart and Try Again

  1. Restart your computer.
  2. Try uninstalling the app again from Control Panel > Programs and Features.

Use the Microsoft Troubleshooter

Microsoft provides a tool to fix Windows Installer issues:

  1. Download the Microsoft Program Install and Uninstall Troubleshooter from this link.
  2. Run the tool and select Uninstalling.
  3. Select Secure Remote Worker 7.5 and proceed with the fix.

Run the Uninstaller as Administrator

  1. Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Secure Remote Worker (or wherever the program is installed).
  2. Look for an uninstall.exe or setup.exe.
  3. Right-click it and select Run as administrator.

Repair Windows Installer

  1. Open Command Prompt as Administrator.
  2. Run the following commands one by one:
    msiexec /unregister
    msiexec /regserver
  3. Try uninstalling the app again.

Manually Remove the Program

If the above steps don’t work, manually remove the program:

  1. Open Registry Editor (Win + R, type regedit, and press Enter).
  2. Navigate to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall
  3. Look for Secure Remote Worker 7.5.
  4. Delete the corresponding registry entry.
  5. Delete its installation folder from C:\Program Files (x86)\Secure Remote Worker.

Reinstall & Then Uninstall

  1. Download the latest Secure Remote Worker 7.5 installer.
  2. Install it over the existing version.
  3. Try uninstalling again.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
