I bought a HP that advertised 1 year of microsoft personal software, but cannot get any help on how

How so I get my free Microsoft Personal soflware installed.  No one wants to help me.  I bought this computer because of this and now I cannot get it!!!

HP Support, in fact, will usually refer you back to the store (if you purchased the computer from the Store/HP.com ).

Why?  HP Support does not track software licenses.

What else?

Purchasing a model based on what kind of Windows it comes with makes sense.

Not sure about purchasing a computer model based on extra software.  Just haven't done that, I guess.

How to find

Finding your Product Name, Product Number, or Serial Number

Reminder:  Do Not post the serial number or any private information in the Community – we are a public resource.

These are all different models - one model only comes with Windows S-mode (a limited type of the Windows Operating System).

What?  "Trial" means you have to purchase the (Office or other) software if you want to continue using it.
