I don't have any PC's with a W10 key in the BIOS, but I have one with a W8.1 key and this is what I need you to post from the report...

It is the last line in the report.  The only difference is yours should indicate W10, and maybe a different description.

OEM Edition: Win 8.1 RTM Professional OEM:DM

You're very welcome.

OK, it is as I thought.

You need to install W10 Home...that is what the product key is good for.

What is the full model number or product number of your notebook?

Use this guide to find that information.

I was hoping your PC was supported by the HP cloud recovery client tool, but it isn't.

There is only one W10 file to download.

Use the media creation tool to create a bootable USB installation flash drive.

https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10

You want the second blue box to click on to do that -- Download Tool Now

Have an 8 GB USB flash drive (could be larger) and plug it into the USB port.

The tool will create a bootable USB W10 installation flash drive.

When it is done making the installation drive, boot from it.

At some point during the installation script, you should be asked, what version of W10 do you want to install, and from that, select W10 Home.  Click Next and the installation should begin.

Hopefully you will end up with W10 Home.

If you don't get an option to choose what OS you want to install, I suggest that you contact Microsoft for assistance.

Hopefully one of their techs can figure out why you are getting W10 Pro and not Home, because the product key is definitely for W10 Home.

Anytime.

Glad to have been of assistance.

I am scratching my head in wonder as to why you keep getting W10 Pro and not Home.

W10 is supposed to automatically pick up the product key and install the correct version.
